Recreational SCUBA diving today is a safe, fun, and easy activity.  It can be enjoyed by almost anyone.  If you can clear your ears on a plane and are in reasonable shape you can dive.  Think about it, it is one of the last activities that you can participate in were people can not reach you while you are enjoying yourself.

Whether you are interested in clear warm water with lots of colorful fish, exploring shipwrecks, or just a fun tune-up dive in the quarry recreational SCUBA diving has something to offer everyone.  The Open Water Diver Course is the stepping stone to a lifetime of adventure.  After being certified there is a wide range of specialty courses to add skill, knowledge, and experience to what you have learned.   SCUBA diving classes and vacations are also a great way to meet fun like minded people that can easily become life long friends.

Most of the research that makes SCUBA diving safe for the diving public comes from technical/military diving.   Organizations like DAN (Divers Alert Network) use this data and there own data collected from the diving community to help the training agencies and diving manufacturers to evolve the sport into a safe and enjoyable one that almost anyone can get involved with.

It has been my good fortune to be involved with and learn from some of the best dive instructors and divers in the world.  It has been an incredible and wonderful journey that has allowed me to evolve as a diver, instructor, and photographer.  Personally I have found it to be a rewarding activity and I have grown as a person because of it.  It was only natural for me as I took more courses and gained more experience as a diver to want to share that knowledge and experience with other divers.  What better venue could there be then to teach new divers or new skills to certified divers.

All of the recreational diver training that I offer will take place at Aqua Ventures as a store sponsored activity.  I am currently one of eight instructors on staff at the shop.  The average number of years of teaching experience is nine years and the shop has been in business for nearly 14 years.  Several of the instructors have over 15 years of experience.   To see a resume my diver certifications and instructor ratings follow the link below.  Check back from time to time as more ratings will be added.  Aqua Ventures is a full service SCUBA diving and snorkeling shop that offers courses from entry level open water through instructor.  Even though I would enjoy having you in one of my Open Water classes or specialty courses all of the instructors teach to the same level of quality so pick a class that works for you.
